Farewell My Friend

Today we put Bu to sleep. The vet suggested it was the most compassionate thing for him. His health quickly deteriorated this weekend after what seemed like a full recovery from last month’s scare.

We will miss him. He was exceptional.

I had a beautiful English spot myself. He developed wry neck and never got better. I spent three weeks holding him as much as I could: medicine, food and to sleep. I miss him so much.

I’m really sorry to hear about what happened to your rabbit. But, then again, he wouldn’t be taken from this earth if he had not already lived a wonderful life with you. He’s in a better place. I would just like to thank you for all of your helpful information. It helped me decide that I rabbit may be right for me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Just found this site I’m so sorry about your bun. It happend to me in May after 6 weeks of treatment from the vet for something completely different. It’s very sad.

I had to make the decision to put my 12-year-old bunny Sunshine to sleep yesterday. He was in obvious pain, with his situation degrading quickly. We got him from a pet store a few months before my wife and I got married. He was there for so much, a great friend. Since most of his life I worked from home, we were very close. I loved him as much as an old bunny who had slowed down accordingly as I did when he was young and rambunctious. He was an important part of our family.
