I’m sure many of you are already aware of this classic, which follows a young bunny as he says goodnight to everything in his room before falling asleep. As an adult reading this to my kids, I really noticed some of the little absurdities in the story, like the fact that the child has a fireplace in his bedroom or there’s a random “old lady” saying hush over and over, but I enjoyed the eccentricity of this little book.

This is a very sweet story with gorgeous illustrations about Nicholas the bunny enjoying nature throughout the seasons. He looks at flowers and butterflies, blows dandelion fluff, watches the leaves fall down–all things little kids can do while they are outside. It’s a wonderful introduction to different seasons and encourages kids and their parents to appreciate the outdoors.
